A decent introduction begins with names, right? Here is ours:
Redeemer – In the Bible, redeem means to rescue by the payment of a price. That’s what we need. Rescue. That’s what Jesus paid for. So we are defined by glad allegiance to a divine hero who freely did for us what we could not do for ourselves.
Community – It says what we want to be – a people with strong common bonds of belief and love. It says who we want to bless. Our neighbors, our area businesses, our schools. Our community.
Church – We are called out and collected together to declare our God’s fame, to obey His truth, and to live out His heart of grace for our world. We are a church, but we don’t want religion. Church is about relationship with God, not rituals or rules.
