REDEEMER SMALL GROUPS

These groups will explore selected topics on different nights. Their purpose: to create an environment where we connect with others and grow in fellowship in Christ. Our goal: “to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more, as you see the day approaching” (Heb. 10:24-25). Pray about being a part. For info or to sign up, contact group leader or Matt Williamson (281-578-1568).

Love and Respect”

A marriage series led by Forrest Bjerkaas. Couples will look at why men and women see and hear things so differently and how God wisely planned those differences to help make us one rather than cause our relationships to stagnate or deteriorate. Seeing the cause of this very natural tension is actually an eye opener into the biblical basis of a good and growing marriage. A teaching video provides for great discussions and enjoyable group life.

  • Weekly on Sunday -- 6:00 to 7:30pm at the church (Forrest – 281 395-4437)

"Experiencing God"

While many people ask God to bless their plans, Experiencing God by Henry Blackaby helps lead believers into a deeper love relationship, teaching them to pray to and hear from God, and to join with God in accomplishing what He purposes to do.  This classic study is now revised and offers many new features as well as new applications and stories. The lessons and testimonies are truly inspiring, but God has more work to do. Will you join Him?

  • Thursday nights starting Aug 21, 2008 meeting in different homes .

Intimate Moments with the Savior

Led by Mark Wells. This group will focus on the encounters Jesus had with people and how those encounters changed their lives. We will center on the passion of the Savior for His creation, and His desire for people to understand the character of the invisible God expressed through Him. We will see that Jesus’ character is the essence of God and that He awakens the “willing learner” who desires more from his faith than religiosity.

  • Every other Sunday – 6:30 to 8:00 pm in different homes
  • Mark and Julie Wells (281 599-7776)

Prayer

Led by Matt Williamson and John Stevens. The bulk of the time in this group will be spent in group prayer, for the needs of those in the group and the needs of our church family at large. We will also focus on biblical passages related to prayer and devote time to worship and praise. Our goals: to develop a prayer ministry and to grow in our ability to communicate with the Father.

  • Weekly on Friday -- 7:00pm in different homes (Matt – 281 578-1568)

Parables of Jesus

Led by Jason Hannam. This group of young married couples will explore 6 of Jesus’ ‘kingdom parables’ – engaging stories from everyday life in the ancient world. Finding their meaning in that context will provide for lively application to today’s experience in early marriage.

  • Every other Thursday – 7:00pm in different homes
  • Child care provided at the church
  • At the Hannam’s home (281 392-6148)
