Men's Ministry

Our goal : to challenge men with biblical principles to boldly pursue relationship with Christ in a way that impacts their ambitions, spending, thought life, relationships, work ethics, marriage, family and ministry.  The purpose is not to create a stand alone ministry program so much as to build men up so they are better equipped to take up their roles in the places God has already called them to.  So we intentionally streamline so as not to consume men’s time or compete with the scheduling and manpower needs essential to other church priorities.  Better families, communities, and churches are built when men are made stronger in Jesus.

We attempt this in venues that allow for guys to talk freely to each other about where life in Christ meets the road of everyday experience.

Those venues are:

  • Monthly men’s breakfast 7:15am – usually the first Saturday of each month.  Good food and a topic of discussion by men for men.
  • Men’s retreats – once or twice a year a getaway is scheduled for extended exploration of the Bible and life.  Usually at a place where men can do “guy stuff” -- in state or as far away as the edge of Yellowstone National Park.
  • The Beast Feast – an annual, highly anticipated event.  Great grub.   All meat.  No napkins.  Nothing green unless is has minimal nutritional value.  (Jalapenos pass this rule.)  Good event for men to invite friends to enjoy hangin’ out with guys who crave meat, have a good time, and who love Jesus.
  • Work Days – planned on occasions to complete a project at church property or meet a need of someone in the community.  Good chance to talk and laugh together while accomplishing a goal together.  God does good things when men unite for a worthwhile purpose.
